Comments: As a lesbian woman I found your article on homosexuality www.viewzone.com/homosexual.html to be very informative. Recent articles in Nature Magazine now say that these same adrenal-hormones can, in the first trimester of birth, act as a kind of "weak testosterone" and influence the fetal development of the hypothamalmus in females to become masculinized. It is a theory that more or less affirms the theory that your article described.

So it appears that these adrenal- hormones can have a "homosexual" effect on both genders if they are in the bloodstream of the pregnant mother during stress. We now have perhaps the complete picture - thanks for being the first publication to put these clues together. My preference for women is something that is part of nature, sort of built-in to the system. I can live with that. Amen!

Comments: I enjoyed reading the story called "Third Witness." It was the one about the man who through hypnosis is recounting a future life on the moon and on a space station called L5. It was a wonderful piece of "post-post-post colonial literature" with the right touch of twilight zone irony. Unlike in typical colonial literature where Europeans and colonize and exploit new enviornments, here we have dark skin inhabitants of outer space, looking on disdain at "worlders" --read Western culture and society which developed the bomb and the means for pollution on a doomsday scale. The inhabitants of the moon and the space station live in perfect harmony with one another--total freedom to choose their own destinies without the oppression of western style governments or religions to dictate anything in a form of utopian society that manages to capture the best of marxist and capatalist societies. The only disatisfaction with this society come from space age terrorist who wish to revert back to the "world." Other than that there are no soical problems whatsever. This new colonial-post colonial literature reaches its apotheosis in the fact that our subject becomes a total selfless hero in saving the lives of his fellow outlanders. This stuff is priceless. The politics are fun to take apart and look at. The writer is, no doubt, someone who dislikes current western culture (there's a long line of people) and wishes for a utopian future society divorced from it chronologically, culturally, physically, etc. Notice that the future spaceman loves books, but makes no mention of what authors or even subjects. Is he interested in world history or culture. Not in the least. Other worlds, such as Mars, attract him. Thanks for good read.

Thought I would let you know that we were interviewed by Nash Entertainment last Sept. for a special which will air in November....ABC special THE WORLD'S SCARIEST GHOSTS CAUGHT ON TAPE. At the time of the interview we showed 9 photos...as of today we have 10 photos...the latest one taken at the Honolulu International Airport when Carissa was on her way to Ohio. Comments: On photographing the paranormal: I've taken dozens of photos where I get the same apparition as in the Carissa shots and I don't have a camera strap, nor do I let anyone else use their camera strap while in my home. I've also got pictures of globes and I don't use a digital or disk camera. I also have photos of heavy looking smoke but there was no smoking or weather related reason to capture it. There have been at least, 4 different cameras used by 4 different people and yet, they still appear on the film. The majority of my pics are with a 35mm camera...I also have these things show up on the negatives. Comments: I was looking at your article on ghostly or paranormal photo's and i notice one glaring error.. that is hiding a far mor e paranormal photo with in it. take another look at your un naturally upward moving orbs picture.... it is a paranormal picture biut not for th e obvious rain fall.. ( yhre picture is in fact inverted.. turn it up the other way andf look.. its light rain reflecting a flash) the real paranormal event is the floating diembodied head just below and left of dead centre.. and diagonally right and above this is a floating skull.. i have enhanced t he picture, inverted it, and magnified it only 200%.. and all is revealed.. keep up t eh good work.. Comments: I was puzzled by the article on Awatovi, where it stated that "the village appeared to have been simply abandoned". Unfortunately, I don't have my references for this readily at hand, and can't give an exact year, but I recall reading in Waters' "Book of the Hopi" and other sources that Awatovi was attacked and destroyed by a coalition of other Hopi villages because of their fears over the foothold that Spanish Catholic influence had obtained there, and - unfortunately - political maneuvering between two leading Awatovi political personalities, one of whom had converted to Christianity. From what I read, the other villages attacked during a festival, when the men of Awatovi were in the kivas, and were thus easily trapped. The men were killed, the women and children distributed among the other villages, and the buildings destroyed and/or abandoned. Since the Hopi call themselves - and generally are - "the Peaceful People", this action has reportedly been troubling and embarassing to them ever since, which might be why someone gave your writer the impression that it "appeared to have been simply abandoned".
