[Red Quartz] by Caliban

two miles inside the earth
the air is always heavy
at the lower berths
I've got my ankle tag scraping
on a panel latch
and somewhere, I'm a dot on a screen

Joe 13 with metals eyes
utilitarian tunics
in matching size
we've got seventeen minutes
'til flush-drive scan
reaches this neck of the woods

refine level, deck number nine
somethings feeling lighter on the working line
somethings out of place from the working line
seal the doors, gas the floors

engage a general check
cameras in the corners
start bending their necks
and you can almost hear the tension
in their motor joints
there's clickings in the air

wall trims glow blue alert
everybody hold hands
for a crawler search
now the spools are spinning readouts
full of 101
the comps are summing, core is humming

refine level, deck number nine
somethings feeling lighter on the working line
somethings out of place from the working line
drop the bars, drop the gates

catwalks like spider webs
remember all the keenest drones
are painted red
we're playing acronym hide and seek
touch-tone tag
rivet guns at our hips swinging in step

code red, theres an air duct breach
we've got to race to
where the scrubbers dont reach
lets push with claw and talon
at the plastic ribs
in the station vents tonight

lets scale the skyward pipes (tonight)
the time is now
elbows and knees for heaven
AI cant bring us down
dissent in red quartz font (tonight)
ascend to cooler air
elbows and knees for heaven
AI cant bring us down
gang cheers from down below
cheering is echoing echoing
AI cant bring us down
AI cant bring us down
dissent in station floor (tonight)
and 1 01 01 01
AI cant bring us down
AI cant bring us down
